Tateyama Bird Forest
This is a nature observation facility located on the south side of Tateyama, right next to Awa Shrine. Other than migratory birds such as grey-faced buzzards and lesser cuckoos in the summer, and thrushes and buzzards in the winter, and you can observe wild birds throughout the year. At the "Fureai Wild Bird Museum", you can see a diorama reproducing wild birds and plants close to their natural state. The "Midori-no-Hiroba" is ideal for picnics. From the observatory, you can see Heisaura Beach, and when the weather is nice, you can also see Mt. Fuji and Izu Oshima. It is a spot where you can enjoy the nature of the mountains from the angle of wild birds.
