Nemunoki Shokudo

This is a thatched-roof restaurant located on the bank of the Tonda River as you enter Nakahechi Town. The menu has been popular since its opening, featuring rice dishes such as flavored rice, chirashizushi, and rice bowls, as well as crispy fried vegetable tempura which changes with the season (set meal with tempura and cycled rice dish). In addition, the "Nemunoki set meal", with the main dish being selected by the owner, is a great deal including a dessert and drink. The cafeteria uses plenty of local ingredients, and is loved by not only tourists but also by many locals. You can also purchase boxed lunches and cakes for takeout. There are table and tatami seating available, so all ages from children to the elderly can enjoy the wonderful view of the Tonda River from inside.
