Kushiro / Akan Guest House Kokekokkō
This guest house opened in July of 2017 after remodeling a 70-year-old former inn in Akan Town, Kushiro City, located in the east of Hokkaido. Much like the “cock-a-doodle-doo” cry of a rooster that signals the start of a new morning, we want our guests to begin a new day here. With this philosophy in mind, Guest House Kokekokkō (the Japanese onomatopoeia for “cock-a-doodle-doo”) was born.
Although it is far from the Kushiro City area, it is close to Kushiro Airport and the Akan IC on the Doto Expressway, and there are restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience stores within walking distance, so the location is convenient. If you’re wondering where to go for sightseeing, our friendly staff will work with you to help plan your itinerary. We hope you will have an unforgettable experience and many wonderful encounters in the beautiful, untouched nature of Akan Town. (Note: there are no chickens).
