Yokosuka Museum of Art

Located in Kannonzaki Park and flanked by abundant greenery on three sides while overlooking Tokyo Bay is a museum surrounded by nature. While visiting the lighthouse and the remains of the gun battery, you can feel the connection between nature, history, and art while you freely enter and leave the surrounding seaside, forest, and museum. Various exhibitions and workshops are held here, focusing on the works of oil painter Asai Kan'emon, who had a post-war atelier in Yokosuka. Why don't you stop by and enjoy some art on your way home from enjoying the beaches or the Miura Alps?
