cafe&bal COVO

About ten minutes by car from the city center of Teshikaga, there is an Italian restaurant on the banks of the Kushiro River. Aside from locals, people from neighboring cities and villages take a 2 hour trip just to come to this popular shop. They are particular about using local ingredients such as seafood and Japanese beef, and the wheat they use for their pizza dough is locally produced in Teshikaga. Their pasta “Amatriciana”, which uses salted Shari barley pork and housemade tomato sauce, has a condensed taste but is delicious enough to keep you coming back for more. The cheesecake dessert is moderately sweet to pair well with wine, with an addictive crispy bottom. We invite you to enjoy delicious Italian food at this quaint log house, built by the owner over the course of 10 years and brimming with uniqueness and warmth.
